Vellux Original Blanket, King, Moss Reviews

I grew up with vellux blankets, and I've everlastingly liked them a lot. I bought this item to replace my old vellux blanket, and it is NOTHING be fond of my old blanket. The feel is watered-down and feels combined. The blanket also smells bad. I am returning this aptly gone.

I can't reconcile it but my Vellux blanket just disintegrated in the washer. Washed in habitual logic with habitual detergent and fabric reward on warm-warm. My partner noticed what looked like mud life cycled in our dialogue box of our adjoin loader washer. We were both astounded. By no means saw no matter what business like it in our lives. We just cleaned out the huge mess from the washer. We had a bunch of foam mud and mesh. With a bit of luck tomorrow with the washer dries and we vacuum it out, the washer will soothe work. Also hope we didn't kill the filters on our festering logic.

This blanket is anything but soft and velvety like the description says, it is scratchy and stiff and feels like there is a residue on your fingers after touching is. I wouldn't take this blanket if it were free, let lonely for the price they want (which is a sweet clad price). My kids are using velour blankets from my husbands childhood and there is no way that these blankets even compare. I was looking to get some new ones for the boys for Christmas so they would stop fighting over the old ones, but they would refuse to use these and it would be a total waste. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!

We received this blanket for a gift this past Christmas. That very night I ongoing getting pain in my eyes.I planning it was some dust from the Christmas decore (Xmas tree, etc..).After a couple nights of terrible eye irritation and swelling I noticed a touch when I looked for a long time in the mirror.. TINY infinitesimal hair like fibers on my eyeball! I rinsed it out and even even if I still felt like there was a touch in my eyes I didn't make a big deal out of it.The next night the same thing.. It felt like a touch was in my eyes and I couldn't get it out. The irritation was so terrible I was ready to go to the ER. My eyes looked like I had pink eye and the bandanna almost my eyes was exceptionally swollen. Now I still hadn't blamed the blanket at this point, but when I selected up my iPod (which I keep next to my bed) I ongoing noticing tiny fibers on the screen. That's when I made the tie. Like I said these fibers are near hidden, but when they get in your eyes they will drive you CRAZY!!We indifferent the blanket and I am apprehensive that so much of this has be converted into airborn that we may never get rid of all of it.I've also been having a lot of headaches over the last couple of weeks and I don't know if this is correlated, but I have a touch it is.

I just ruined my Maytag washing machine laundering this horrible product. It disintegrated into a foamy, stinky gunked up mess and left a mesh netting behind. I feel like I've inhaled and ingested way too much toxic material just trying to clean it up. Buyer beware.

This low-cost knock off uses the first name but lacks the three-layer look or warmth of past years. After four washes, I can think it over the writing on the wall: this blanket will end while its 20 time old predecessor keeps it together.

We be inflicted with had this blanket for a couple of months and while its actually gentle and comfortable now we pulled it early the washing machine and here were modest pieces of fabric all over the blanket. Its very odd. We be inflicted with not noticed this in earlier cycle washes and we everlastingly wash it the constant way.Depiction modest around pieces of organize ALL over the floor and blanket. Didn't call up very water supply in check over of the fact with the intention of its only been a couple of months.

I bought this to exchange the constant blanket made 10 being ago in the U.S. The grown-up one had damaged at the edges. This one is thinner, made in China, and not as lukewarm. I was unable to discover no matter what business be fond of the grown-up one, so it I modest it. But it was not up to the constant ordinary as a previous Martex Vellux Blanket that I have had in the past.

I have permanently loved these blankets and ordered many vellux blankets starting Westpoint Stevens which is currently Martex.I have ordered them starting 2000-2008. They were all through in the USA and were fluffy soft.Just expected one currently, and it is through in China and it is extremely extremely low quality. They are not fuzzy soft like they were through just a few years ago.I am severely disappointed and will be carriage mine back for a full refund.

This manufactured goods is supposed to be hypoallergenic; though, as I opened the wrap a strong chemical odor came from the blanket. With expression it out for a couple of days, the odor remained and continued to remain even with washing it in a commercial washer a couple of times. As I tried to use it with washing it, I awoke in the middle of the night with an intense headache and stuffed sinuses. I at that calculate replaced it with my old blanket, and there wasn't a problem. As I over again tried to use the blanket, an allergic reaction marked by stuffed sinuses and headache occurred over again. This blanket is definitely not hypoallergenic.
